The Human Development Report is translated into more than ten languages and launched in more than 100 countries annually. The Chinese version of 2011 Human Development Report was translated by ACTC Translation Centre.
The 2011 Human Development Report—‘Sustainability and Equity: A Better Future for All’—argues that environmental sustainability can be most fairly and effectively achieved by addressing health, education, income, and gender disparities together with the need for global action on energy production and ecosystem protection. The Report was launched in Copenhagen on 2 Nov. 2011 by UNDP. Singapore ranked 26th in the 2011 Human Development Index.
The annual Human Development Report is an editorially independent publication of the United Nations Development Programme.
